Documents required for Visa:
- Submitting a paper or online application
- Submitting official academic transcripts for every level of education you have completed. (Depending on the university you’re applying to, it might be official or unofficial)
- Submitting a copy of your passport.
- Submitting the language test results (Could be official or unofficial depending on the University you are applying to)
- Submitting your recommendation letter
- Essay/SoP submission (Some universities have specific requirements)
- If the university requires it, paying the application fees
- Couriering your documents if the university needs it.
Congratulations if you receive your visa; if not, reapply using the DS 160 form. (You do not have to pay for your SEVIS again because it is valid for one year.)
Visa Application Process:
- Receive your I-20 along with your SEVIS number.
- Complete the DS 160 form.
- Pay the $160 interview fee at Nepal Investment Bank.
- Book an appointment with the US Embassy for the visa interview.
- Pay the $350 SEVIS fee at Nepal Investment Bank or any other bank.
- Bring your passport, I-20, original academic transcripts, SEVIS and DS 160 receipt to the interview.
- Prepare for the Interview

Language Test:
- IELTS: Ranges from 6-9, based on the subject and university.
- PTE: Min. score 50.
- TOEFL: Ranges from 70 to 85, depending on the major degree & university.
- SAT, GMAT, and GRE are also accepted for bachelors and master’s degrees.
